ENVIRONMENT

The Corporate Quality System addresses Environmental Policies and Procedures in the workplace.

Our Policies and Procedures utilise AS/NZS ISO 14001:1996 “Environmental Management Systems – Specification with guidance for use” and AS/NZS ISO 14004: 1996 “Environmental Management Systems – General guidelines of principles, systems and supporting techniques” to achieve self-declaration of its Environmental Management System.

We will work closely with our clients to ensure a co-operative approach to the management of environmental issues. At the commencement of a contract, M&M Rolfe management will liaise with individual client management and relevant authorities to develop site-specific procedures to effectively manage:

...The handling and disposal of waste
...Recycling strategies
...The correct use, dilution, handling, storage and disposal of chemicals
...The correct use and maintenance of plant, equipment and vehicles
...Environmental incident response and preparedness
...Corrective and preventative action
...The education and training of staff
...Reporting system
...Air quality
...Energy management

Once authorised by your representative, these procedures will be communicated to personnel and form the basis for environmental management.

Once all procedures are agreed, we will provide adequate instruction, supervision and training to ensure that the environmental objectives are achieved. Six monthly reviews will be conducted as part of the Quality Management System to continually monitor and improve environmental policies, procedures and work practices.

Our Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for the effective implementation of the Environmental Management System and environmental performance
